Trenčianske Teplice the well-known antirheumatic spa belongs to the oldest and the most sought for spas in Slovakia . The partially renovated spa with more than 1 000 beds offers a complete spa treatment all year round on a high medical level for over 20 000 guests from Slovakia and abroad.
The spa town lies in the western part of Slovakia amidst 17 km valley with a small river called Teplička. The mountains around are called Teplice-highlands, Zliechov-mountainous country and Trenčín-highlands. The panorama of the town is decorated with mountains like Dedovec (545 m above sea-level), Kráľovec (575 m above sea-level), Ivaničkovec (575 m above sea-level), Klepáč (575 m above sea-level) and Žihľavník (952 m above sea-level).
Trenčianske Teplice has favourable climate not only for spa treatments but also for leisure and sports. The most important factor is the hight 272 m above sea-level. The wooded slopes and the ideal sheltered location of the spa enable the whole-year-round activities. Trenčianske Teplice is one of the few spas that preserved the character of a spa town.
